Precious Memories Baby Mini

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

Today's Design Team Project for Cut at Home features Graphic 45's new paper collection Precious Memories.  Darling photos of babies and Mommies designed with a Mother's heart in mind.  I had intended this book be for a little girl but about half way through decided I'd make it unisex instead.

There are a total of 8 pages, each measuring 7 1/2" x 5 3/4".  The book covers are constructed of medium weight chipboard and measure 8" x 6" with a 2 1/2" spine.  I used a combination of all 3 paper pads, the 12x12", 8x8" and 6x6" solids and patterns.

I also used numerous dies for the pocket edges above and many of the mats.  A list of the dies I chose will be included in the supply list below.  Some dies are no longer available at Cut at Home but you can always substitute your favorites or of course find something new to play with, these are only suggestions.

This mini has lots of fussy cut elements, that's because it's something I find fun to do and rewarding when I look at the finished result.  I hope you'll come join me on the video. There are so many pages you haven't seen here.  I'll be sharing my tips, tricks and suggestions for how to do the mini but I won't be doing the total construction because of time restraints.  If you'd like to see basic construction of the cover and spine check out my Playlist Triple Flip Mini

A Celtic Silver Anniversary Card

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

This week I'm bring you a new background stamp from JustRite Stampers called Celtic Lattice.  I love the way it looks.  In the card above I used a StazOn Metallic Silver solvent ink pad to create this shimmery silver look.  If you decide to use this type of ink on your project you will need a solvent ink remover to get it off your stamp.  I used StazOn ink remover.

The flowers are made from Heartfelt Creations Arainna Blooms stamps and dies and heavy duty household Aluminum foil!  I'll show you step by step how I created the flowers and the card assembly on the video.

I am giving you just a tiny sneak peek at the other card I made for St Patti's Day, oh wait oops maybe that's suppose to be St Patrick's Day :-)  Two unique looks from the same background stamp. I also stamped it in a glittery purple WOW embossing powder but ran out of time to make up a card with it, perhaps I'll share it later with you.

Come join me on the video and see the techniques and products I used to create these cards.

Noteable Blooms Happy Birthday Card

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

This week I'm bring you a card using Taylored Expressions dies and stamps called Noteable Blooms.  This was first time playing with anything from Taylored Expressions and I tell you I could get really spoiled having dies that do the fussy cutting for me.

I'm going to be doing a complete start to finish on my video for this card showing you how I did it all including cutting a card base with the darling decorative edge to it.  I hope you'll join me on the video so you can see how to make it as well.

Thank you Prima!!!

Back in January, just before CHA, Prima was sharing new collections on their Facebook Page.  If you commented under a post your name was put in a hat for a drawing and lo and behold my name was pulled.  I knew my prize package wouldn't arrive until after CHA and it was fun watching for the mailman each day wondering if today was the day and exactly what would be coming.

This is what came, now wouldn't that put a smile on your face?  It sure did mine

My package included a sampling of Prima's new Bedtime Story.
A set of Say it In Crystals - stars
Color Bloom spray in Yellow Mustard
A Prima marker in Fruit Pink
A jar of Micro Beads in Copper

A stencil in Lace
A Darling stamp set

A 6x6 paper pad of 30 sheets!

And last but certainly not least was
Wood Icons with Foil

I'd say it was well worth leaving a comment and a little praise for Prima wouldn't you?

If you'd like to see the package as it's revealed to me and you at the same time
