Pssst..... it's a Reveal!

a Cut at Home Design Team Reveal

Oh I'm just so happy I finally get to say........... the new Angel Craft Podge is in the store! I've been waiting (not so patiently) for all the bugs and snags to be worked out and the product to perform like an Angel (pun intended).  And it's here and ready for you to add to your own crafty space!

Angel Craft Podge is the best thing I've been playing with it for months and I am totally in love.  It has very little odor, seals, glues and protects your projects like a dream.  It will glue paper to paper with the strongest bond and seals with just a nice hint of sheen.  I've used it to glue foil to cardstock, That's some above in the picture the foil butterfly on the circle (which is tissue paper and yep I used the Angel Craft Podge on it too).  I glued to the foil and cardstock and then punched it in a delicate butterfly to see if corners lifted or anything shifted, nope.  The only time you'll have that is if you've missed a spot and there wasn't any Angel Craft Podge to seal.  That's a quick fix because this Angel Craft Podge comes with a brush in the lid!

Today's video will not only introduce you to this wonderful new product (designed, manufactured and sold by Cut at Home under their private label Angel Craft in their store and on Amazon) but will also share these fun altered Composition books to leave you with some crafty inspiration.

I took plain Composition books, like you'd find in any office supply or big box store, and altered them to create one of a kind jouranls for all your notes and reminders.  The first one I made for myself and I use it daily, then it kind of grew on me and I ended up doing 3 more.  Here you can see how well (and without any bubbles or ripples) the Angel Craft Podge glues the paper to the outside cover.  I also glued the flourish, glitter letters and dictionary quote finishing with a nice top coat seal to make sure everything stayed put.

So come on, join me on the video and I'll share all my love
for this new product, Angel Craft Podge!

Tudor Rose Card with Stephanotis Flowers

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

Today I'd like to share a card I've made using Spellbinders new Card Creator die, Tudor Rose Card Front.  I combined this die with Sizzix Susan's Garden dies, the flower Stephanotis.  Adding a lace rosette was the perfect nesting place for the three flowers.

The butterfly comes from the Sizzix BigZ die Butterfly duo.  It's duo because not only do you get the die which has two sizes of butterflies but also the matching Texture Fades Embossing folder.  I colored mine with an assortment of Tim Holtz Distress Inks including the new Cracked Pistachio.

The flowers were a little fiddly but I like the end result especially with the lace all sweetly tucked around them.

Check out my video for lots of ideas and a complete start to finish process.

The French Garden Collection Waterfall Mini

a Meg's Garden Design Team Project

This collection, The French Garden, isn't new to you, you've seen several other projects I've used it in, but some collections you just never tire of because they are so beautiful, this is one of those!

This is a 6"x8" book with a 2 1/4" spine, I used my Cinch to punch seven holes in the front and back and two sets of holes in the spine. Using a velveteen ribbon I laced the book together similar in fashion to a corset.  I love this look.  The front of the book are all bits and bobs of embellishments from the Meg's Garden Store.

Inside is divided into two parts, right and left.  On the right is a horizontal waterfall of seven pages, leaving lots of room for your 4"x6" photos.  On the left is a set of flip ups and downs.  In addition I added a pocket on the first flap to house a day planner, once it's removed the pocket will be able to hold an ample supply of photos, ticket stubs and various memorabilia.

There are so many places to place photos, either directly on the mats or tucked into any one of the various pockets I've placed on the flips.  Since I was so limited on large pieces of the decorative paper I added some coffee and tea stained paper which I inked with Victorian Velvet to tie it into the collection colors, worked great.

I hope you'll come with me on the video as I walk you through the mini and of course there are lots and lots of still photos to inspire you to create your own book.

Four Cards to Inspire

a Cut at Home Design Team Project

Today I'm offering up four different cards made with Sizzix Framelit's Flip-it's #2.  I love these dies they have all you need to cut the card base and the embellishments.  Use what you have on hand or treat yourself to a new collection to make your cards pop.

I also used Sizzix Framelits Die Set - Bugs to make this cute card, you not only get 8 dies but you also get a Stamp set with 7 stamps including this darling ladybug!

Today's video will include a start-to-finish for each of the cards I've made today plus many more still photos to give you lots of ideas to play with.

While you have your paper and supplies out why not make a matching envelope for each card, nothing is better than tucking that home made masterpiece into a lovely envelope for the recipient! Use a corner punch to jazz up the back flap like I did here with Martha Stewart's Vintage Floral punch.

I hope you'll join me on the video and get inspired to make your own Flip-it cards today.
