Authentique Fabulous - Tag Folio

Country Craft Creations Design Team Project

Tammy Merrill, from Country Craft Creations, offers free video tutorials on Facebook each week.  If you are a member of her Facebook group, Scrapbookers of Country Craft Creations, you can access, view and download the tutorials at any time for reference.  This past week she shared a Tag Folio and I just had to try it.  Back in June when we first moved in our new home Tammy sent me a welcome gift and in it was the Authentique Fabulous collection.  She was trying to entice me to craft again, lol, it took a while but I absolutely loved using this collection for this folio, I'm so glad I waited.

The 50's retro vibe to this collection was perfect and I already have this ear marked for a special someone. The folio measures 5" x 9" closed.  My paper was the 6x6 pad so of course I had to be a little inventive to cover the pages.  I found this black cardstock in my stash and it was so cool, it has lines on it almost like a subtle corrugation.  Perfect for matting.

Here's the back of the folio.  Along with the paper Tammy also sent the Accent Sheet which had the top elements.  The bottom one was the inside of the front cover, you have to use everything you know.  I accented the middle strip with two buttons laced with red yarn.

When you untie (I used coffee dyed seam binding for my ties with yarn bows) the front and flip it open this is what you see.  The inside left and right front have pockets.  I used the FAB from the Accent Sheet, backing them on black and running a black cording to hang the pennants. They were finished off with Glossy Accents.

Here's a glimpse of the inside showing pockets left and right and the middle housing the Graphic 45 square tags.  This tiny tri-fold can house so many photos!  I used Tim Holtz Distress ink in Festive Berries for the red inking and the Martha Stewart boarder punch - Vintage Floral for the front accent.  The Tag openings are cut from with a 2 1/2" circle punch.

I made a little bi-fold booklet to slip into the pocket adding the same lace I used on the bottom of the tag pocket. (I thought adding the lace to the bottom of the pocket made it look like an apron) I left the strip across the bottom free on the top to slide this bookmark tag into.

I hope you'll join me on the video where I'll do a complete walk through.  This is a fast, fun project that takes minimal supplies.  Of course you can continue to mat and add to your hearts content, we crafters have a tendency to do that!  Links will be below the video along with supplies used.
